Summer Operations - Bike Mechanic - 2024

This summer season, we are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable bike mechanic who will look after our rental fleet and provide repairs/services for customers at Coronet peak

About the role 

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on our rental fleet
• Conduct inspections to ensure all bikes are working well and safe for use
• Keep records of maintenance and repairs performed on each bike
• Assist walk in customers with bike rentals and provide recommendations based on their needs and skill levels
• Assist walk in customers with bike repairs and resolves customer issues or concerns promptly and efficiently
• Prepare bikes for pre-booked rentals
• End of day cleaning and pack down
• Learning both Indoor and Outdoor Operations as you may be obliged to work in these departments as and when is necessary  

About You 

• High level of accountability for self, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong customer service skills and an ability to interact and build rapport with a diverse range of customers
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• An understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed 
• An active mountain biker

Skills and Qualifications 

• Proven experience as a bike mechanic or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of bicycle repair and maintenance

• This role will commence in early December and run until April 2025.
