Tahuna Hostel Manager

Located in downtown Queenstown, Tahuna Pod Hostel operates as a 74-bed commercial hostel operation during the summer months and staff accommodation for NZSki during the winter Ski season.

We are looking for a reliable hands-on type to oversee and manage the day-to-day hostel operations year-round. This is a varied and interesting role, duties would include:

• Leading a team of operational staff
• Managing and co-ordinating daily operations
• Welcoming and inducting new guests
• Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications promptly and professionally
• Assist in resolving guest feedback, handling emergencies, and any issues that may arise
• Ensuring the facilities and grounds are kept to a high standard
• Maintaining house rules to ensure the safety and comfort of guests
• Managing health & safety & compliance requirements and managing contractors

Opportunity exists for the role to be either on a live-in basis, or live off-site. We also welcome applications from couples who would see themselves jointly managing the property.

Previous experience in lodge, hostel or accommodation management would be preferred.

The role is full-time starting mid-October.
