Hostel Guest Services All-rounder

Located in downtown Queenstown, Tahuna Pod Hostel operates as a 74-bed commercial hostel operation during the summer months.

As Guest Services all-rounder at Tahuna Pod Hostel, you will ensure hostel service and cleanliness standards and are met to the highest quality to ensure our guest’s experience meets their expectations. 

You will represent the hostel to the guest from arrival to departure, in your role, enriching their experience by being an onsite point of contact for our hostel and its culture. This is a very varied and hands on role where you will pitch in and do what needs to be done, duties would include:

• Performing front office, reception and reservations duties
• Assisting guests to settle into their accommodation

• Ensure the safety and security of the property
• Be the first line of response to handle guest queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Manage guestroom inventory by communicating regularly with Housekeeping to ensure rooms/pods are available for efficient check -ins
• Hands-on assistance in all daily operational activities to across the property
• Willingness to pitch in and do whatever needs to be done.

This is a full time, fixed term role from 15^th Oct – 15^th May 2025. While we prefer the person to live off-site, options for live-in can be discussed for the right candidate.
