About The Role

Whitehaven Coal have a fantastic opportunity available for a Storeperson based at Tarrawonga Mine! Reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of ensuring smooth inventory management in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work on a 9-day fortnight schedule.

The successful applicant for the position will either reside in the Gunnedah region or be willing to relocate. Relocation Packages and Temporary Camp Accommodation available. 

What You’ll Do

• Adhere to the Health and Safety Management System, legislative requirements, and safety procedures, contributing to the company’s “zero harm” objective.
• Manage site inventory, including parts, components, and critical spares, ensuring secure and efficient handling.
• Coordinate daily communication with the labour provider for Yardsperson and ASG Hose Technicians.
• Collaborate with maintenance planners to stage parts for upcoming maintenance activities.
• Ensure the accurate and prompt processing of deliveries.

What You’ll Bring

• High Risk Forklift Certification (Mandatory)
• Qualification in supply chain management and logistics (Preferred)
• Business improvement skills and certifications, such as Lean Six Sigma (Preferred)
• Hands-on experience in a large warehouse environment with strong knowledge of inventory control.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
