About The Role

The Mine Services Superintendent is responsible for providing day to day leadership and direction to the Mine Services Department at our Maules Creek Open Cut Operation.   

This exciting role is based in the Gunnedah region and involves working a 9 day fortnight. You will be responsible for leading a skilled workforce in mine site rehabilitation, contract management, dewatering and infrastructure projects.  

What You’ll Do

Key aspects of this position include:

• Manage compliance with the Health and Safety Management System and legislative requirements
• Contractor management, ensuring safety and productivity are in line with contractor service agreements
• Effectively manage a large department budget and provide input into development of operating & capital budgets
• Maintain compliance to the mine plan with regard to rehabilitation, dewatering activities and infrastructure projects

What You’ll Bring

• Experience working in the mining industry with demonstrated leadership experience
• Supervisor competencies (G1, G8, G9)
• Skilled at organising and controlling resources
• Experience in managing contracts, budgets or technical designs (preferable)
