About the Role: 

The ICT Coordinator primary responsibility is maintaining day-to-day IT operations and support to students and staff across our QLD campuses.

This role includes all aspects of IT support and customer service on school systems covering software and hardware, troubleshooting problems, and advising on the appropriate action.

The position will be predominately rotating on-site at 4 Queensland campuses and supporting the 2 Tasmania campuses will therefore involve travel and overnight stays.

 

Primary Campus focus will be the following:

 

All campuses primary support is by a third party who manage and administer the IT infrastructure and first level remote support for the school. This position would involve working alongside their team of remote technicians to provide the 'onsite' support that is required.

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically.
  • Take ownership to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Advise users, clients and/or internal staff on appropriate action.
  • Communication with customers as required; Keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages where appropriate.
  • Client liaison and answering client calls and remote requests through internal ticketing systems and email.
  • Research questions using available information resources.
  • IT equipment audits and Asset Management.
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Working with campuses for the overall Schools IT Budget input.
  • Procurement of IT equipment.
  • Coordinate with the campus’s installation and configuration of VC equipment installation where necessary.
  • Maintain the campuses laptop fleet in accordance with the regional directions.

  • Proficient Computer skills and competency with business applications
  • Confident in adapting and learning new systems and processes.
  • Service awareness of all organisation's key IT services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques and how technology is used to provide IT services
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a fast-moving environment.
