The Role

We are seeking an energetic, committed and customer-oriented Maintenance Officer to become an integral part of our team on a permanent role, with working hours Monday to Friday 7:30AM – 3:30PM.

 

Working under the guidance of the Village Manager, the Maintenance Officer is responsible for the execution of the maintenance activity within the village in accordance with existing frameworks and budget ensuring all work is carried out following the correct procedures. Part of your role may also include providing safe transportation of our village residents.

 

Who You Are

To be successful in your application, you must have:

  • Experience in General Maintenance works as a maintenance person, tradesperson or handyperson
  • Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job
  • Experience driving a small bus or light / medium rigid vehicle
  • Experience working with elderly people, and the awareness of mobility/health and safety issues that may occur;
  • Team-focused, with willingness to perform other ad-hoc duties when required;
  • Knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) legislation
  • Proficient in using a mobile phone. Maintenance requests will be received and sent via a mobile app
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
  • LR- license or above, with good driving record
