Growth Operations & Corporates Specialist - Growth NSW
About the Role
To enable the Growth division to achieve new business acquisition, retention targets and business plans by providing support to BDMs and the Growth Leadership Team, enabling effective and efficient flow of information, processes and procedures, within the team, and across other business units in the Avant group.
Reporting to the Growth Operations and Corporates Manager, this role supports the effective and efficient operations of the Medical Indemnity business development team. It encompasses various administration and operational processes, internal customer service, and is reliant upon building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships across the business.
While the majority of the role is internally facing, this position will also be required to support the Growth Operations and Corporates Manager with the management and retention of a small portfolio of high value corporate accounts, including the preparation of regular invoicing.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 1: Ongoing management support for corporate and group accounts
Key Activities:
• Point of contact for existing corporate accounts
• Coordinate with Avant’s ME team and other relevant parts of the business to ensure superior service to our corporate accounts.
• Supporting the invoicing process for corporate accounts
• Review and coordinate our practice group arrangements to ensure they are documented and recorded correctly.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 2: Monitor and support the achievement of acquisition and retention objectives.
Key Activities:
• Provide support to the Growth Leadership Team (GLT) by the delivery of regular performance reporting.
• Provide support to the GLT to comply with all Avant policies and procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 3: Provide operational support to the BDM team to achieve sales targets
Key Activities:
• Actively provide the team with information to support delivery of sales budgets.
• Provide process and procedure advice and support to the BDM team
• Coordinate the review and escalation of urgent applications, issues and pricing reviews by the Underwriting and Product teams to support the BDM team with onboarding of new business and the ongoing management of existing members.
• Support all team members to comply with current legislative obligations and company policies
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 4: Engage with and collaborate with all areas of Avant in order to deliver excellence for our members.
Key Activities:
• Develop and maintain high quality relationships with key internal stakeholders based on trust, credibility, and support.
• Monitor Service levels and negotiate with key internal stakeholders to support the SLA
• Comply with, support all team members comply with, current legislative obligations and company policies.
• Co-ordinate requests from the wider divisional team and business development team into marketing and other departments (i.e. Member Services, Underwriting etc)
• Coordinate individual and group discount submissions to Portfolio Management
• Demonstrate strong influencing skills and comply with Avant values
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 5: Support and contribute to process documentation and business improvement activities as directed.
Key Activities:
• Support the review and documentation of sales processes and procedures.
• Assist with development of tools and templates used by the Growth / Business Development team

EXPERIENCE/INDUSTRY
• 3+ years of working in a service culture.
• Client management or service experience, ideally in an insurance / professional service / financial services environment
• Excellent planning and delivery capability – record of strong outcomes

• Proven experience of operating with groups as well as individuals
• Good communication skills
