Manager, Marketing and Communications
About the role:
We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Advocacy, Research and Education (AER) team. As well as providing products and services to our members, we play a broader community role by advocating for improvements in the healthcare system and in quality, safety and professionalism in medicine, through delivering education and research activities. As well as; advocating for safer patient outcomes, doctor wellbeing and effective medical indemnity and regulatory environments.
This role is responsible for contributing to these strategies by developing and delivering content and providing marketing and communications support for the Advocacy, Education and Advocacy division
Ideally, the role requires understanding and experience of the medico-legal or healthcare landscape in Australia and the ability to communicate and market high quality content via a range of delivery channels with a view to increasing visibility of Avant’s advocacy, education and research work among members, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
This is a part time (4 days per week) opportunity based in Sydney, hybrid working.
Key accountability:
- Research, develop and edit high-quality content tailored to different platforms and audiences relevant to the goals of our advocacy, research and foundation areas.
- Develop and execute content strategies to drive engagement and brand recognition for Avant Mutual and Avant Foundation.
- Design and implement targeted marketing campaigns to maximise content reach and engagement. leveraging various channels such as social media, email, and through Avant’s partnerships.
Key skills and experience required:
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing and/or Communications.
- Marketing and communications experience within a professional services environment, ideally Insurance or Healthcare.
- Developing and executing communication strategies and marketing plans.
- Deep experience creating appealing content for a range of audiences.
- Superior writing and editing skills.
- Strong ability to create content for social media platforms.
- Ability to create visually appealing content.
- Proficiency in the use of Content Management Systems.
- Managing internal stakeholders.
