The program 

 

Social Cohesion Student Placement assists with administration and research tasks by providing support to the Senior Officer - Participation & Inclusion to undertake research activities related to Migration Support Programs. 

 

The opportunity

 

The program provides an opportunity to students who is passionate about women empowerment, capacity building and self-learning. You will get an opportunity to learn about different cultures, meet new people and experience their culture. The role will: 

  • Assist in the design and development research projects including focus groups. 
  • Support the Social Cohesion Project Officer during planning, trainings, events and presentations     

 

The impact 

 

These programs have engaged women in community initiatives such as a very successful fashion show in Darwin, food exhibitions in Darwin, Alice Springs and Katherine and other activities identified and led by the group is a testament to Red Cross’ commitment to support and empower communities.  

 

Application requirements

 

For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through Red Cross.

  

To submit this an application you will be need to upload a recent copy of your CV and/or provide details for two professional references.  

The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check or Working With Vulnerable People Check depending on your State/Territory.  Red Cross can assist you to apply for this check
