About the role
Provide operational coordination, planning and advice in the effective management of international humanitarian staff (delegates) who are deployed overseas in response to emergencies, crises and Red Cross and Red Crescent Partner needs.
The Lead – International Deployments manages client groups to ensure deployment capacity and services are professional, safe and are fit for purpose in enabling Australian Red Cross to provide humanitarian and developmental assistance in complex international locations.
What you will bring
- Well-developed collaboration and relationship management skills to build and maintain rapport and trust with a broad range of stakeholders internal and external to the organisation and leverage relationships and information for business (humanitarian) outcomes
- Demonstrated analytical skills to make sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to effectively consider options and develop solutions. Ability to communicate any problems, implement solutions and monitor appropriate actions.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills to ensure both client understanding and compliance with complex organisational and sector requirements (safety and security, IHL, Codes of Conduct) and expert input into decision making.
- Strong attention to detail and risk analysis stills to ensure effective and safe planning of complex assignments
- Generalist human resources skills in recruitment, induction, competency and performance management and coaching.
- Evidence of required vaccinations for travel

Salary from $97,397.04 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging
