Purpose

As the Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you are the driving force behind our Housekeeping team's success! You oversee the achievement of daily cleaning excellence, uplift team spirits, and shape our Housekeeping team into cleanliness champions. With your coaching finesse, you will guarantee our team consistently delivers top-tier cleanliness and productivity, ensuring a sparkling and secure stay for our guests.

 

This role is a Full Time position, working 40 hours per week with a pay rate ranging between $28.00 - $30.00

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the department manager you will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the entire housekeeping department
  • Foster team motivation and growth by providing guidance and training to enhance their skills
  • Procurement of cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping-related inventory while managing budgets & controlling expenses
  • Track labour expenses and productivity relative to occupancy rates, while also conducting daily inspections to assess room cleanliness standards
  • Efficiently allocate rooms for team members during shifts to maintain an even workload distribution

 

Skills and Experience

  • A sharp eye for detail and previous leadership experience in Housekeeping
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, along with a friendly and outgoing personality
  • The ability to think on your feet to keep things running smoothly throughout the day
  • A high standard of personal grooming and a polished appearance
  • Willingness to not only lead the team but to also work alongside them to ensure their success
  • Reliable transportation and availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays
