Night Public Area Attendant
Purpose
As the Night Public Area Attendant, you are a vital part of our night owl team, committed to upholding impeccable cleanliness throughout the property. You will feel comfortable working independently, carrying the on-call phone, and being readily available - a welcoming presence for guests seeking assistance with late-night questions or minor maintenance issues.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure the property always looks its best, with a keen focus on both indoor and outdoor public areas to meet our high cleanliness and presentation standards
- Expertly handle specialised equipment and chemicals with safety in mind
- Happily assisting in preparing guest rooms ready for the next day's operation
- Offering guest assistance as needed, this may involve tasks such as key security, and responding to minor issues all whilst ensuring privacy and confidentiality
- Be the eyes and ears for our maintenance and guest services teams, reporting any issues promptly, from maintenance problems, to damaged equipment and missing items
- Embrace the distinctive night shifts at our hotel, spanning from 10pm to 6am
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role (as a cleaner/room attendant/public areas attendant) is a plus
- Your communication style is warm and welcoming, making both guests and team members feel at ease
- You have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing your time well and taking pride in your tasks
- Adaptability and physical fitness to work in both internal and external environments, including staircases and uncovered areas
- You will be an independent worker who can take initiative and excel without constant supervision
- Reliable transportation and availability to work a flexible rotating schedule including weekends and public holidays as required
