Purpose

As Cluster Maintenance Manager, your role is essential in maintaining the seamless operation of Maintenance Teams across a cluster of properties within the region. In close collaboration with property managers, you will take charge of the teams, resource management, and expertly oversee the attainment of peak performance and safety standards. Additionally, you will implement preventive maintenance practices to ensure the continuous, long-term, uninterrupted operation of these properties.

 

This role will oversee a number of Mantra Hotels in the Sydney CBD and suburbs.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and guide maintenance operations across multiple properties
  • Implement a service-centric strategy for overseeing guest needs while executing scheduled and reactive maintenance
  • Ensure clear and efficient communication at all levels, from the General Manager, to guests, to owners and on-site contractors
  • Report and track programmed maintenance while keeping stakeholders engaged with email and telephone communications
  • Foster close collaboration with all departments to effectively address and resolve issues as they arise

 

Skills and Experience 

  • Demonstrated prior experience in a similar role
  • A dynamic leader with a background in maintenance or engineering, within the realm of Strata / Management Letting Rights (MLR) operations
  • Possesses strong administrative and computer proficiencies alongside outstanding abilities in stakeholder management and negotiation
  • Confident in comprehensive financial understanding of managing a profitable operation, and familiarity with WHS legislation compliance
  • Team and Time Management. Ability to guide and develop your team in various locations whilst managing conflicting priorities
  • Ability to perform emergency maintenance tasks beyond regular working hours, including situations such as complete power outages, fire system evacuations, and mechanical system failures
