Bar Manager

Purpose

As the Bar Manager, reporting to the venue manager, you will create a continuous flow of enjoyable moments, just like the balanced mix of ingredients in your drinks. Your role is instrumental in ensuring the bar operates efficiently, safely, and profitably, while consistently delivering exceptional service to customers. With your leadership expertise, you hold the key to cultivating a positive and inviting ambiance, ultimately shaping Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge into a thriving and esteemed part of the community.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure approved service sequences and standards are consistently maintained
• Stay updated on licensing and operating legislation relevant to the department, including compliance with the Liquor Act
• Conduct monthly stock takes on all beverage inventory and provide timely reporting on inventory management findings
• Assist with staff rostering and develop training plans for outlet team members
• Monitor the venue’s budget, control costs, and work to maximize profitability
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints, offering accurate information about property facilities and features
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and care for all equipment and materials
• Collaborate with the Venue Manager to support events and promotions

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager in a high-volume bar environment
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff
• Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on communication and guest satisfaction
• Proficient in bar inventory management and ordering processes
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Passion for the hospitality industry with a commitment to delivering exceptional service at all times
