Purpose

As Chef de Partie, you will play a pivotal role in delivering memorable dining experience to our guests. Working closely with all members of the kitchen brigade, your role is to maintain the high standards and contribute to the development of innovative and delicious dishes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring the preparation and plating of dishes according to the menu.
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and cleanliness at all times.
  • Participating in menu planning, cost control, and budget management for the restaurant.
  • Collaborating with the head chef to organize the kitchen team's work schedule and tasks effectively.
  • Proper utilization of kitchen equipment, including dishwasher, grill, oven, and gas stoves.
  • Ensuring proper storage and organization of food products for quality assurance.
  • Working closely with the head chef to manage staff availability and training opportunities.
  • Monitoring and logging temperatures of cool rooms and refrigerators and organizing raw food accordingly.
  • Training the junior staff in the kitchen.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply and will have priority consideration.
  • Minimum Diploma of Hospitality and Management level qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a chef, with experience in fine-dining cuisine preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to working a minimum of 38 hours per week.
  • Advanced knowledge and ongoing awareness of culinary techniques and practices.
